Jacobs, Jane. The Nature of Economies, March 2000, Modern Library. [order book]
A witty treatise of the fundamental issues concerning the inner workings of our economy. The book's premise is that the economy is a wholly owned subsidiary of the world around us--a pretty logical statement, yet in complete contrast to traditional economic thought. An accessible introduction for anybody interested in a more 'ecological' or green economy.
