For almost a millennium, Burg Kreuzen has towered over this hidden treasure near Grein on the Danube. Taking the hour-long hike along the creek through the Wolfsschlucht is a wonderfully relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon – not least because of the delicious Austrian Jause waiting at the Speck Alm at the end of the hike.
